Change the spacing of invisible gridlines
When you select Snap to Grid, objects that you drag on the picture area are aligned with the nearest intersection of gridlines. If you want to narrow or widen these gridlines, you can change their default spacing.
- On the File menu, click Picture Setup.
- Do one of the following
- To change grid spacing for the active picture, click the Active Picture tab.
- To change grid spacing for future pictures, click the New Picture Defaults tab.
- Click Options.
- In the Horizontal spacing and Vertical spacing boxes, enter the spacing values you want.
Tip To turn the invisible grid on or off, use the Snap to Grid command on the View menu.
